Great Deal Bosch TAS6515UC Tassimo Single-Serve Coffee Brewer, Twilight Titanium

I owned the Braun version of the Tassimo for over two years and loved it. Someone accidently threw out the piercing unit on it, and while I plan on finding a replacement for that, and giving my old machine to my daughter, I decided to buy the newest model.

Essentially they took the old model and made it better. Those tiny little things that were slightly annoying but certainly livable with for a good cup of coffee, are all gone with this new model.

No longer do I have a cup full of icky water. This one doesn’t leak water like the old model. It also has space for larger mugs that the old one did not. You had to remove the stand in the old one, and then you got water everywhere. Instead of waiting for the water to heat, the machine is ready instantly to brew. I think brew time may be a tad longer, but that is better than waiting to push the button. It also can be turned off and on with a switch at the front. It takes up far less space on the counter than the old model, and I think it looks far sleeker. Flatter sides mean it can sit against a wall or the like.

They added things like the ability to raise up your cup for small espresso cups. The cup stand is lit. It also has a display that tells you what to do. ie Put in pod, Push the button, etc. The cord stores in the back of the unit, so you only have to pull out as much as needed. The cleaning disk stores in the back of the unit behind the water tank. I love this aspect, because I lost my cleaning disk about a year in to ownership of the old one. Its just little things, but they all add up to a much improved model.

It makes a great cup of coffee. As I am the only person who drinks coffee in my household, the pod system is perfect for me. I have great coffee for guests, and they can choose decaf, cappuccino, flavoured coffee etc. I even have tea for them. I used to own a Kuerig before the previous Tassimo, and while it has more flavour choices, I like the Tassimo better because it has more TYPE choices. I can do lattes etc, that the Keurig cannot do.

So yes I love this machine. I got mine from Coffee Wiz with free shipping as Amazon didnt have it in stock.

Recently, after several years of heavy service, my Braun Tassimo died. I reviewed the new generations of Tassimos and decided to purchase the Bosch Tassimo Titanium as a replacement. I’ve had it for approx 3 weeks and love it! It is much faster and quieter than my original Tassimo. Plus, there are some nice new features and functions. It’s nice that the descaler is tucked into a slot on the back of the machine (since Braun never seemed to have them in stock). The filter in the water tank is a great addition to the machine, though I’m not sure how well the time-based vs. usage-based replacement monitor will work for us. We don’t use the machine every day, so I don’t think we’ll need new filters as often as the monitor recommends. I really like the “idiot-proof” display that helps family members who refuse to read directions use the machine without supervision. The cup stand lights up, which has a coolness factor, but I’m not sure it adds function. Ultimately, I’m really pleased with the product and look forward to enjoying many chai tea lattes with it (my fav!).

Owned the Braun Tassimo and now the Bosch. A lot better brew. Quicker to heat the water. A hotter brew which improves the flavor and the expresso is stronger. Very satisfied
